Around 8 AM on 1/27/12, the MJFD was dispatched to the area of Route 535 & Deans Rhode Hall Road for a motor vehicle accident with extrication. Firefighters arrived to find a four-vehicle crash with the elderly female driver of one vehicle trapped and another vehicle overturned. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the critically injured driver. Responding were Rescue 205, Engine 208, Support Unit 207, and Deputy Chief 210.
January 21st, 2012
Just before noon on 1/21/12, the MJFD was dispatched to the area of 75 Fresh Ponds Road for a motor vehicle accident with extrication. Firefighters arrived to find the driver of a four-door sedan trapped in his vehicle, which was struck by a pick-up, crashed into a guardrail and was partially in a ditch. The driver was extricated using the Jaws of Life and all units cleared the scene by 12:30. Responding were Chiefs 200 & 210, Rescue 205, and Engines 206 & 208

In 2011, the firefighters of the Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department responded to a total of 532 incidents and dedicated over 6,600 man-hours to keeping the residents of South Brunswick Township safe.
